Taking something that is as simple as an image or a drawing and creating a way to display this to highlight the importance of this specific point in time.
Taking the printed drawing and clipping it to a clip board gives the image a much larger and much more important emphasis. This is due to the image being places in the center of a board and getting a being surrounded by a different coloured boarder. The connotations of the use of a clipboard also relate to those of power and importance.
By then putting this image onto an easel it changes the displace angle of the piece so it can be seen from a distance without having to be interacted with or having to hang it on the wall. creating a stand alone piece which speaks for itself and stands above the rest of the work, images, drawing, etc.
working theme for the display and works is country, city. creating parallels between the country and the city home environments to pull out what the essence of home really is. How home is a combination of a series of emotions and feelings that we associate to objects and environments.
pulling out striking country themes and ideas through the use of imagery and text to create a connection to home through the travelling to and from. using works like fall away instead of the edge of the grass and track instead of tyre imprint to create connections across the physical and the philosophical meaning of home.
beginning to create a physical connection through collage of country and city. through the overlapping of different parallel images these collages can be formed.
