Whether it is filing envelopes in an envelope rack or arranging books in a book shelf the way we do things is by a calculated means. Whether we do it intentionally or subconsciously, all the decisions that we make in our life come down to the things we have been taught in the past. Similar to the arrangement of the photos, images, drawings and etchings that I have made along the way.
As I have printed each image I have deliberately assigned them to a section. These sections can be divided up into different sections; country tracks, city tracks, country growth, built objects, and living things. These sections are marked out with paper tabs to separate each section.
From here each I have pulled out images that really resonate with me to show the stark differences between these 2 places of city and country and I have matched them with their parallel similar image city or country as needed.
These images I have then laid out in a 4 by 3 grid structure where every first and third column are images of the city and each second and fourth column are their country equivalents. Using blue paper tabs to mark the images that I am interested in the most and are the “hero images”
these images I have added to a black scrapbook and this is the rigid and structured scrapbook that carefully lays out each image and categorizes it into its own section, with a foot note and index so each image can be found. City.
I have also added a much more loose scrapbook (brown) which is a collection of images drawings and ideas of these images and how they can tell a story of the time and place the images were taken. Country.
